Passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Pickering House, Lancaster.

She was born April 19,1922 in Moxahala, the daughter of the late Louis & Bessie Dutiel. She was a 1940 graduate of Mozahala High School. Member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of New Lexington for 68 years. Employed by New Lexington School Systems as Head Cook & Dietitian for 19 years.

She is survived by her son John Christy of McConnelsville, grandchildren; E.J., Parker, Kelsie, Kylan, and James, a daughter in law, Carla Christy. Virginia also had may loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years George Christy, her son; James Christy; 3 sisters; Kate DePinto, Vern Pertruzzi, and Lulu Stickdorn.

Friends may call from 5-8 pm Monday at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson St., New Lexington

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home with the Reverend Dr. Doug Widdowson officiating. Burial will be follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
