Passed away Tuesday, December, 9, 2014 at Pickering House, Lancaster.
He was born February 1, 1925 in Junction City and was the son of the late Sylvester and Imelda Boley Gordon.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Junction City, retired employee of Junction City Clay Company, and spent most of his time farming.
Sylvester was a dear friend and was loved by everyone.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lottie Dumolt Gordon, his children; Martha (Merle) Shriner of New Lexington, Douglas (Nancy) Gordon of Crooksville, Dave Gordon of Junction City, and Deborah (Robert) Fyffe of Chillicothe. Nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie, Rose, Florence, Bonnie, Betty, and Ellen. Daughter in law, Kathleen Gordon.
Rosary services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday with calling hours to follow until 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1170 St. Rt. 668 S, Junction City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Father James Csaszar as Celebrant. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
