Stephanie Jo Fritz

Stephanie Jo Fritz age 50 passed away on July 1, 2025, at OSU Medical Center.

Stephanie was born on November 2, 1974, in Zanesville, Ohio to Joe Elekes and Peg Elekes.

Stephanie was the life of the party. She enjoyed going to the beach, pool parties, and listening to Bon Jovi along with other music. She loved her dogs Sherlock and Perry. They could always be found by her side. She loved shopping, going for drives and sending funny texts messages.

She is proceeded in death by her sister Karen Wilson, Grandparents Betty and Charles Forester, Grandparents Wanda and Charles Elekes and special friend Cindy Fritz.

She is survived by her loving husband Richard Fritz, Her children Garrett Hoops, Brady Hoops (Myah Boyden), Addison Hoops (Nick Mallett), Stepdaughter Lauren (Ryan) Slingoff, granddaughter Rory Slingoff, Her mother and father Peg Elekes and Joe Elekes, her sisters, Wendy Elekes (Mike Mayes) and Kristin Elekes (Alex Morris), several nieces and nephews. Special cousin/friend Tracy Poling, special aunt Becky Snider, cousin Jamie Elekes, special uncle Rick Elees, special friends, Kim and Opie Taylor, Jimmy Bozman, Goose and Molly Goldsberry, Katie Billingsly and many others.

Stephanie was a nurse by trade with her RN, BSN. She loved helping others and wanted to save everyone.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Stephanie name to the Perry County Cancer Alliance.

There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they have gone. Their light remains. She will be missed by all and remember always. Always in our hearts and always on our minds.
