Ryanna Nicole (Alfman) Shumway 37
Passed away at 12:10 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville following a long illness.
Ryanna was born July 16, 1984, to Rodney, Sr. and Rosie (Pacino) Alfman. She was a 2003 graduate of New Lexington High School and attended Hocking College. She is survived by her Big brother, Rodney, Jr., (Lisa) Alfman of New Lexington, nieces, Schae and Teylar (to Ryanna known as Schae-Belle and Tootie-Moose) and her great-nephew, Rowen (known as RoRo) whom she loved very much and she was their Special Aunt Rories. Uncles and Aunts, Joe (Trish) Pacino, Mary (Pacino) Brown of New Lexington and Fred (Jo Ellen) Alfman of Moxahala. Ryanna's fur babies were her best friends and she loved them deeply, Tank, Yory, Elvis and Bella. They were very loyal to her. Among others grieving her death are all of her cousins, friends, and Facebook buddies. She truly loved her family, her fur family, a good time and her "fireball".
She was a STNA for 10 plus years at various healthcare facilities in the area, her heart was in taking care of the people around her. She was a bright light in every ones day, and always ready for a good laugh. She gave her heart to anyone who needed her help and would do anything she could for everyone. The battles she faced were numerous throughout her life, but each battle and each day she faced with determination. She was strong willed and definitely a fighter. She loved life to the fullest even though it knocked her down at times, she would not let it keep her there. She was a woman of preseverance and strength. She faced each day with a smile and positivity. She leaves behind her positivity for us to face our days ahead.
Ryanna was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Fred and Virginia (Jenny) Alfman, maternal grandparents, Joe and Rose Pacino, Uncles, Nick, Angelo, and Bill Pacino, Aunt, Judy Pacino and Cousins, Vic Pacino and Carmela Dennis.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the CHUTE-WILEY FUNERAL HOME, 118 S Jackson Street, New Lexington, Ohio. Rosary will be reciteded at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, at 11:00 AM with Father LeHigh as celebrant. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
