Rose M. (Hillis) Holden 69
Passed away Monday morning April 11, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born August 13, 1946 in New Lexington the daughter of the late Darrell and Lucy Talbot Hillis.
Rose was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, New Lexington Eagles 2070, BPOE Elks, the MacGahan Club and worked at Jo's Coiffures of Lancaster for many years.
She is survived by her loving companion of 30 years, Leo Humphrey, sisters and brothers, Janet (Raymond) Sorg of Lancaster, Mary (Fred) Kessler of Lancaster, Ron (Diane) Hillis of Zanesville, Larry (Hazel) Hillis of Columbus, Frank (Tim Flautt) Hillis, and Steve Hillis of Columbus.Step-children, Tim Holden & Greg (Jeanne) Holden of New Lexington and Leslie (Davie) Martens of Lancaster, Many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. (Ned) Holden.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S Jackson St., New Lexington with Eagles services at 7:00 pm and Christian Wake services at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Rose Catholic Church, corner of Main and Water Sts. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
