Rosaline Epifano, “aka Roz or Rozie” Epifano, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, unexpectedly passed away on July 19, 2022 at the age of 93. Rosaline was born in Rochester, NY on December 10, 1928. After being swept away by the love of her life, Anthony Epifano, she moved to New Lexington, Ohio in 1950. She spent her life devoted to her family and loved her grandbabies more than anything. She was happiest in her kitchen cooking for and feeding everyone she loved. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith and remained a member of Saint Rose Church for over 72 years. She also enjoyed eating anything chocolate, canning, shopping with her daughters and granddaughters, watching church services on television, lighting church candles for everyone in need, saying the rosary multiple times a day, praying to saints, and donating to countless charities. Rosaline is survived by her sister, Dolores Moreno (Jerry); children, James Epifano (Michele Petry), Barbara Shumaker (David), and Kathy Chute; grandchildren, Holli Winters (Jason), Harmony Norman (Andrew), Lauryn Chute, David Shumaker (Jenna Purdy), Leslie Chute, and Anthony Epifano; great-grandchildren, Hadley Winters, Emmy Winters, Hayden Norman, Brock Winters, Avery Norman, and Nala Kelley; and numerous very special nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Jessie Guarino, her “sweetheart,” Anthony Epifano, and her son-in-law, Robin Chute. Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 22 at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson St., New Lexington, with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 309 N. Main St with Father Todd Lehigh as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Rose Catholic Church in New Lexington, Ohio
