Nora Hillis Sulzer

Nora Hillis Sulzer 102. Passed away at Autumn Health Care Center on Monday, January 21, 2013.

"Aunt Nora" was born January 11, 1911 in Moxahala. She was a 1932 graduate of Mt. Carmel School of Nursing in Columbus. She resided in Ormond Beach, Florida since 1956. She was a member of Our Lady of Lord's Catholic Church. She worked for many years at the Perry County Home as a registered nurse and assisted Dr. Miller on home visits and surgeries.

She is survived by her 25 nieces and nephews, sister in laws, Mabel Hillis of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Alice Hillis of Berlin Heights. Loving friends of Ormond Beach, Marvin Sherzer, Helen Duffner, Juan & Mara Herrera and Colleen & Charles Carter.

Nora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo Sulzer, parents; William and Eva Hillis. 6 brothers; Thomas, George, Lee, Albert, Raymond and Guy. 3 sisters; Laura Hillis Shank, Florence Hillis Appleman and Rose Hillis Patton.

Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday 9-10:30 a.m. at the Chute- Wiley Funeral Home with Rosary recited at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 309 N. Main St. New Lexington with Father Dan Dury, Father Don Franks and Father Carmady as Celebrants. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
