Misti Rae (Crawford) Coffman

Misti Rae (Crawford) Coffman  63 of Conway, SC, formerly of Lancaster, OH, born on 9/23/1958, passed away on 9/25/2021 after facing a gallant battle against Covid. She was a dedicated teacher, touching the lives of hundreds of children. Misti taught 30 years at New Lexington, OH Elementary and 3 years at Notre Dame Elementary, Portsmouth, OH. She is a graduate of Ohio University holding a Bachelor of Science & Education degree, and a Masters degree from Marygrove College, Detroit, MI.

Misti is preceded in death by her parents, James Justin Crawford and Mabel Marie (McPeek) Crawford.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph E. (Gene) Coffman Jr. also, her sister Linda (John) Knight of Lancaster, OH, brother Terry (Bobbie) Garrabrant of Lancaster, OH, sister Kay Bartholow, of Rushville, OH, and nephews and nieces, which include nephew Todd Knight and his children Jackson & Audrey, nephew Jason (Suzi) Knight and their son Jared (Jenna) Knight, nephew James (Kristin) Garrabrant and their children Nolan, Jack, Isabelle and Sabrina, niece Katrina (Garrabrant) LaTorre and her children Haley, Cameron and Llyssa, nephew Robert Garrabrant, nephew Andrew (Andrea) Barthlow and their children Ashton Webb (daughter Harper) and Krist Barthlow.

Visitation will be Friday (10/1/2021) from 4PM to 8PM at Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S Jackson St., New Lexington, OH. A Catholic Mass celebration will be at 11AM Saturday, (10/2/2021) at St. Rose Church, 309 N. Main St., New Lexington, OH. Burial will follow at the New Lexington Cemetery.
