Melda Penrod Eveland
Passed away Friday, April 17, 2015. She was born October 3, 1920 in Perry County (Six Mile Turn). She was the Daughter of the late Maurice & Bertha Yahn Penrod.
She was a member of the New Lexington First United Methodist Church and a 60 year member Carnation Chapter 167 of the Eastern Star.
Melda is survived by her children, Melanie Miller of Denver, CO., Marvine (James) Wyrick of Ada,
Elaine Buck of Georgia, daughter in law, Jennifer Eveland of Xenia, Pamela J. (Paul) Lauderback of Pickerington and Kevin (Debby) Eveland of Newark.
Grandchildren, Phyllis Wyrick Hunnaman, Jason Miller and Ashley Eveland, great grandson, Grant Hunnaman and sister in law Ruth Ann Reuter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. (Jim) Eveland, a son, James R. Eveland, infant daughter, Sondra Jean, her sister, Maurine (Merle) Dickson and brother in law, Dr. Edward Reuter.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S Jackson St., New Lexington with the Reverend Douglas Widdowson officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 126 S High St. New Lexington, OH 43764 or the Perry County Cancer Alliance.
