Mary Hillis Obituary

Cack was born in New Lexington, the daughter of the late P. Edward and Mary Corbett Nash. She was a graduate of St. Bernard's School of Corning and spent all of her 100 years in this area. She worked for the Kroger Company for 40 of those years.

Her first husband William Howard Harrison, the father of her children died in 1950. Cack's second husband, Clyde Gladden passed away in 1974. She then married A. Darrell Hillis for 25 years until his death in 2002.

She is survived by her daughters, Susie (John) Elekes and Margaret Bayles of New Lexington, a daughter in law, Elizabeth Harrison of Columbus. Step-children; janet (Ray) Sorg, Mary (Fred) Kessler of Lancaster, Ron Hillis of Zanesville, Larry (Hazel) Hillis, Frank hillis, And Steve Hillis of Columbus and Rose Holden of New Lexington.Many grandchildren, great grand children and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bob (Bety) Nash of New Lexington.

Also preceded in death by her son, William Harrison, son in law, Robert Bayles, grandson William Gottke, great grandson, Christian Elekes,
Sister, mary Edwardine Nash,O.S.F., brothers ans sister in law, Paul and Mona Nash, John and Kathleen Nash, Dave and Ruth Nash, Donald, Clarence, and James Nash.

Calling hours will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 9th at the funeral home with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church, corner of Main and Water Sts., New Lexington with Father James Csaszar as Celebrant.
Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
