Macille (Swartz) Paxton

Macille Evelyn Paxton was born 11 January 1931 in Newark, Ohio to Eric L. and Fannie Patterson Swartz. She died peacefully on 24 May 2021 at Sharon Brooke Assisted Living Facility, Newark, Ohio. She married Donald C. Paxton 25 August 1951 in Junction City, Ohio who preceded her in death 14 April 2018. Macille was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Newark, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Junction City. She enjoyed her flowers, going to yard sales and playing euchre. She and Don took many trips with the Freedom Years to Hawaii, Alaska, Ireland and the Catholic holy sites of Israel, Medjugorje and The Vatican. Macille was predeceased by her parents, husband, two stillborn sons: Mark and David, and granddaughter, Jeanna, two sisters: Kathryn (Kate) Fink Griffin and Francis Campbell, and stillborn brother, Elmer Swartz. Macille is survived by her three children: Michael (Donna) Paxton and Rick (Robin) Paxton both of Heath, and Patricia Paxton of Orrville, four grandchildren: Lee (Suzanne) Paxton of PA, Dottie Paxton, of OH, Ryan Paxton of OH and Lindsey Tanzillo of CA, two great-grandchildren: Brooke and Brie of TX. Family and friends may call from 12:00 – 1:00 on Friday, 28 May 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1170 St. Rt. 668 S., Junction City. Mass of Christian Burial will follow with Father Christopher Yakkel as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S.
