Linda Diane Beck, 71, of New Lexington, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2022, at The Morrison House in Zanesville. Linda was born in Northeastern Ohio on May 3, 1951. Linda was always one to have two birthdays, and most people were surprised to find her second birthday was March 3, 1951.

Linda worked for 17 memorable years at Kroger Store 313, in New Lexington. An animal lover since a small child, Linda volunteered at the Columbus Zoo, where she was her happiest. She was a collector of cats for many years, which collided squarely with her great love of birds. She enjoyed reading her bible, watching sermons, gardening, and feeding the birds. Linda was an avid reader and loved to share her books, especially ones by Nora Roberts. Linda touched the lives of everyone she met. She always thought about others and was always ready to help those in need. Linda never met a stranger. She was full of life, always with a story to share.

Linda was proceeded in death by her father, Donald Vincent Beck of Geneva, OH; and, her mother, Elizabeth Nichols Chapman, of Geneva-On-The-Lake, OH. Linda leaves behind her sisters, Terri Chapman Madsen, and Beverly Chapman; her brother, Harold Richard Chapman; her nieces, Jennifer Madsen, Allison Madsen, Taylor Chapman, Nicole Chapman; her great niece Lyla Jones, and great nephews David Atoe and Kingsley Jones

Linda will be greatly missed by her family, community, her work family, and several friends who she called family, including Ruthie Murphy and Christy Wright who helped take care of Linda after a brief illness.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s name to the Humane Society, in honor of Linda’s love of animals.
