Passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Pickering House, Lancaster.
He was born in New Lexington on March 19, 1933 to the late John and Wilhemia Dickerson.
He was a Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict, member of Junction City American Legion Post 376 and a retired employee of Ludowici-Celadon Tile Plant.
John is survived by his loving wife of 49 years,
Zell Randolph Dickerson,whom he married October 12, 1962. His children, Leisa (Dale) Hiles of Crooksville, Tina (Chuck) Coey of Junction City, John Dickerson, Mike (Lisa) Dickerson all of Moxahala.
Nine grandchildren, Devon & Tyler Hiles, Robbie, Christina, Chuck, Paul and Cassie Coey, and Mike and Cody Dickerson. Two sisters, Wilhemia "Bill" (James) Brehm of Junction City and Helen (Andy) Madison.
Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetry with Militay gtaveside rites conducted by Junction City American Legion Post 376.
