John E. Busey 83
Went home to be with the Lord on the 24th of June 2002. He was born May 13 1939 in Canal Winchester to the late Edwin L. and Ruth (Adams) Busey.
He was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Busey. His son, James (Tina) Busey of Dayton. Daughters, Jennifer Vieners of Columbus and Jessica (Ty) James of Zanesville.
Step-children, Tim (Betty) Gross, Greg (Angie) Gross, Michelle (Bill) Thompson, Anthony (Marissa) Gross, Randy (Kendra) Gross.
Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Four sisters, Betty Anderson, Judy (Ronald) Carter, Trudy Wegeharpt, Melody (Paul) Uidhuser and two brothers, Willis (Susan) Busey and Bart (Elizabeth) Busey.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son John Busey, and a granddaughter, Samantha K. Thompson.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 4:00~6:00 pm at the Chute~Wiley Funeral Home 118 S Jackson St. New Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with viewing starting at 10:00 am.
John will be laid to rest in the New Lebanon Cemetery with Military graveside rites conducted by Junction City American Legion Post 376, Junction City. Following the burial, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Junction City Community Building, 300. W Main St. Junction City.
