James was born May 16, 1932 in Junction City, a son of the late William and Florence Paxton Harnetty.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Junction City, Oil businessmen, and member of New Lexington Elk's #509.
He is survived by his brothers; Clarence Harnetty of Zanesville, Paul Harnetty of Westerville, and Francis "John" Harnetty of Junction City.
A sister in law; Elaine Harnetty of Junction City.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters; Marie Beard & Margaret Schmehl, brothers; Robert Harnetty and Charles Samuel Harnetty.
Calling hours will be Sunday, July 25,2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at St. Patricks Catholic Church, 1170 St. Rt. 668 S, Junction City. Elks services will be held at 7:00 pm and Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at the church with Father James Csaszar as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
