James Ansel Obituary

James (Jim) D. Ansel, 75 of New Lexington, passed away at 11:32 AM, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at home. Jim was born, September 11, 1936, in New Lexington, the son of the late Wayne D. and Ruth (Stobbs) Ansel. Jim was raised, by his loving Aunt Effie (Ansel) and Uncle Emmett Ray Shiplett of New Lexington. A lfe Member of the First United Methodist Church, New lexington. Jim served 6 years in the United States Army, retiring after 34 years from Newark Air Force Base, Heath, Ohio. A 48 year member of New Lexington Elks Lodge #509, Jim serviced two terms as Lodge Exalted Ruler, Lodge Secretary, Trustee and one term as the Elks South Central District, Secretary. Member of American Legion Post 188 and Eagles Lodge 2070 New Lexington, Ohio. Jim loved reading, gardening, and spending time with his Grand Children and Great Grand Children.

James leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Dora M. (Cote) Ansel of the hoome. Son's, John D. Ansel and Grandchildren- Aaron,Alison,Jacquelyn Ansel of Athens, Ohio, Ron J. Hines and Grandchildren-Lacey,Emily,Megan of Lancaster, Ohio. Keith (Sherry)Anderson and Grandchildren Katie,(Andrew and Madison)-Joey Anderson of New Lexington, Ohio, The late Paul & Linda Robinson and Grandchildren Debbie (Ridge, Sierra), Rikki of Baltimore, Ohio. The late Rick Robinson-Heather. Jim Robinson of Grove City, Ohio and Brenda Robinson of Pataskala, Ohio, Kevin (Cheryl)-Jainee, Kandi-(Kasey(Hayden-James)Killian)-Jessica Leigh-(Brandon). Daughter Theresa Robinson and Grandchildren-Jamie (Aaron),Hialeah, Colin James Hurlburt, Jenny,(Nicholas) Robinson of Lakeland Florida. Brother's Richard (Debbie) Ansel, Douglas, Georgia and Fred (Libby) Ansel of Hendersonville, North Carolina.

James is preceded in death by first wife Virginia Ansel Step Mother Edith (Day) Ansel.

Calling Hours will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, February 6th at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home with Elks 509 Services at 7:00 P.M. and Eagle's services at 7:30 P.M.

Funeral Services wil be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 7th at the Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating. Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery with American Legion Post 188 Services.
