Hazel Deavers Obituary

Hazel I. (Kasler / Speelman) Deavers 89, formally of New Lexington, Ohio was called home to reside with the Lord after a long illness she passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on March 11, 2018 at the Hospice House in Sun City, Florida.

Hazel was born March 14, 1928 in New Lexington, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Bert Kasler (10-18-1947) and Bertha (Kokensparger) Kasler (6-25-1952).
Hazel worked and retired from Bryant Air conditioning, a division of Carrier.
Hazel was a kind loving and giving person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. She had a smile that could light up a room. She was the type of person that could make a friend wherever she went.

Some of the things she loved doing in her lifetime was sewing, she loved fixing and making things for herself and others. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, baking, working on puzzles, doing crafts, and taking pictures – she never went anywhere without her camera. She also enjoyed going to church, when she was no longer able to go, she enjoyed watching Charles Stanley on the television, she also enjoyed watching Nascar.

Hazel was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed the times we all could get together for holidays, birthdays, or just a cook out and sit around a bonfire making s’mores. She loved every new generation that blessed the family. She loved spoiling each and every one of them.

Hazel is survived by her only child - Pauline (Speelman) Penrod, 3 Grandchildren – Larry (Lori) Penrod, Pamela (David) Esterly, Sonya (Mike) Wallace. She has 9 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Many nieces’ and nephews’.
