Grace Marie (Brown) Weidner 99
Passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Oaks of Bethesda, Zanesville.
She was born September 3, 1925, in Junction City, daughter of the late Josiah Grimes and Edith "Louise" Stimmel Brown.
She was a 1943 graduate of Junction City High School, member of the daughters of the American Revolution (Franklinton Chapter), She worked at H.C. Godman Shoe where she was a sample maker. Her hobbies included sewing and quilting. She was a superb seamstress and frequent exhibitor in the Ohio State Fair quilt competition, where she frequently placed with her hand stitched quilts. For a period, she was the oldest active exhibitor at the fair. She met the love of her life Harley Ray Weidner, Jr., in 1953 and married him in 1956, until his death January 14, 2014, 58 years.
She is survived by her children, Janell Marie Potts (Gregory) of Zanesville, Harley Weidner III of New Lexington, and Marilyn J. Magin (Tom) of Blacklick.
Grand children, Lisa Marie Kester (Tim), Gary Lee Potts and Mel Magin.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Warren, Harold and Claude, and a sister Ruth.
Family and friends may call Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S Jackson Street, New Lexington from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 25,2025 at St. Rose Catholic Church 309 N Main Street, New Lexington at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband In New Lexington Cemetery. Chute-Wiley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements
