Golda M. Davisson 82 passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Golda was born August 22, 1927 in Morgan County, daughter of the late George & Florence (Love) Bankes.
Golda spent many years in Crooksville, Junction City and then New Lexington She was employee of the Watts & Hull Pottery in Crooksville. Member of the New Lexington Ladies Auxiliary 2070 where she was a Golden Member. New Lexington Elk's #509, and Lifetime Member of Junction City American Legion Post #376.
She is survived by her daughters; Diane (Earl) Stephenson of Grove City and Patty (Dick) Lloyd of Crooksville. Granddaughters; Bridgette and Natalie (Joe Bennett) all of Grove City. Great Grandchildren, Abigail and Cameron. Stepson, Fred(Linda)Davisson of Florida, Stepdaughters; Sue (Tom) Coady of Bexley, Rosemary (Tom) Fisher of Somerset and Bev (Bill) Patterson of Glenford.
2 Brothers & sisters in laws; George (Sara) Bankes of Zanesville and Carl (Patty) Bankes of New Lexington. 2 sisters & brother in laws; Dorthea (Ralph) Ross of Mt. Sterling and Barbara (Jay) Wilson of Malta. Many nieces & nephews, numerous step grand chilren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren and a cousin Fern Lyle
Special friends; Harold & Nancy Gibson of Somerset, Dick & Barbara Tinto and Phil & Gerri Hillis of New Lexington.
She was Preceded in death by her husband Fredrick "Dick" Davisson and a brother Robert Bankes.
Calling hors will be held from 3-7pm Monday at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home 118 S. Jackson St., New Lexington with Elks Services at 6:00 pm and Eagles Services at 6:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home with her Sister Dorthea Ross as Speaker. Burial will Follow in Zion-Porterville Cemetery.
