Gilbert Jay Helwig, Jr.
Passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at OSU Wexner Medical Center. He was born July 29th, 1979 to Gilbert J. Helwig, Sr. and the late Rosemarie (Dickerson) Helwig.
Gilbert was an avid OSU and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Loved to play music and go fishing.
He is survived by his father, Gilbert J. Helwig, Sr, step-mother, Nora Helwig and his children; Audrey (Bradley) Rutter, Brianna Lynn Helwig, Dakota Jay Helwig, Trey Helwig and Maraela Helwig.
Siblings; Jennifer (Roger) Barker, Melissa (Camilo) Turrubiates, Matthew (Danelle) Helwig, Kristi, Larry Dyer, Jr., Katie Wolfe, Jamie Kirk, Joseph Kirk, Jr. Grandsons; Braydon and Conner and two more grandchildren on the way.
Calling hours will be held from 12:00 ~2:00 pm Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S Jackson St., New Lexington, A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm with Reverend David Helser officiating. www.chutewiley.com.
