Chief Master Sargeant George William Vigue 86 passed away November 23, 2010 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born February 14, 1924 in Norfolk, New York.
George was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Junction City American Legion Post #376 and a WWII Veteran Having served in the Air Force for 28 1/2 years, having received 4 bronze stars, Worldwide Outstanding Airman Logistics Command in 1967 and numerous other medals.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Ferguson Vigue and two daughters; Valerie (Richard) Kelly of Candor, NY and Victoria Marie (C.Dennis) Allen of New Lexington.Grandchildren; Col. Richard (Vicki) Kelly, Shannon (Timothy) Baker, Kathleen, (Maury) Sinan, George Francis (Jeanne) Allen, and Denise Marie Dillion. 11 great grandchildren. A brother; Ronald (Patty) Vigue of Junction City and Sisters; Helen Marie (John) Hunter and Geraldine Harris.
Preceded in death bvy his parents; Edward and Marie Smith Vigue, Brother; Bun, James and Louie Vigue and his sisters; Phyllis Dean and Beatrice Appleman.
Calling hours will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:45 p.m..
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by Junction City American Legion Post #376.
