Passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014. He was born April 13, 1937 in Junction City. He was the son of the late Robert E. and Mary Elizabeth Haug Metzger.

Fr. Metzger was ordained on December 22, 1962 and served as a Priest in the Dioceses of Columbus.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Msgr. Robert E. Metzger, Mary Anne, Fr. Richard L., Charles E., Fr. Stephen A., Michael J. Metzger, Nida Riley and friend Alice.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1170 St. Rt 668 S., Junction City with Vigil services at 6:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, CHUTE-WILEY FUNERAL HOME, 118 S Jackson St., New Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
