Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Strode

Passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009.
Born June 5, 1920 to the late George & Eska Hall Poling and John & Elizabeth Elder.

Betty was a graduate of Junction City Class of 1938 and St. Mary's of the Springs College, Columbus in 1942 (Ohio Dominican).

She taught kindergarten and elementery school in South Bend, Indiana and Junction City.
Member of St. Patricks Catholic Church & Junction City American Legion Post #376 Auxiliary.

Betty is survived by her daughters Pamela (Kevin) Nosbusch of Mequon, Wisconsin and Patricia (Stephen) Johnson of Newark; grandchildren, Rob Johnson of Brooklyn, New York and Kate Nosbusch of Mequon, Wisconsin. A brother, Richard Bringardner of Clemson, South Carolina and sisters, Shirlee (Tom) Stubbs of Ft. Myers, Florida, Maxine Bebow of Prudenville, Michigan
and Annabelle Bush of St. Louis, Michigan.

Preceded in death by her husband, Judge Robert M. Strode (1983), a granddaughter, Megan Johnson (1995), her parents, a brother, Robert Poling and a sister, Jenny Gray.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-8 PM at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson St., New Lexington with Rosary at 7:45 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1170 St. Rt. 668 S. Junction City with the Priest of Perry County as Celebrant. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
