Passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born May 21, 1931 in New Lexington and was the son of the late Enoch and Alice Sands Hilyard.

He retired after 40 years of service from Rockwell International. Served in the National Guard for 7 years and was a World War II Navy Veteran.

He was a lifetime member of New Lexington Elk's 509 and lifetime member of the New Lexington Eagles 2070.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Rowe Hilyard. His children; Mike (Mary Ellen) Rowe of Lancaster, Jeff (Brenda) Rowe of Junction City, Scott (Glenda) Rowe of New Lexington, Steve (Miriam) Rowe of Junction City, Susan (John) Marshall of Lancaster, Alicia (Wayne) Bell of New Lexington and Todd (Candi) Hilyard of Shelton, WA. Numerous grand and great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Hilyard and sisters; Betty Montell, Hazel Huffman, and Mary Teters.

No calling hours will be held. At his request cremation will take place. Gravesides services will be held at a later date.
