Donovan "Jay" Wycinski 58
Passed away at the Ohio State James Comprehensive Cancer Center after a 4 year battle with cancer.
Born in Zanesville he was the son of the late Frank and June Fitch Wycinski.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Lou (Pompey) Wycinski, son, Doyd (Tanya Morgan) Wycinski of Hilliard, daughter, Jeannie Wycinski of Columbus. His grandchildren, Gabrielle Wycinski and Spencer Wycinski of Columbus. Two sister, Marsha (Jim) McCormick of Hilliard and Shelby (Gene) Murphy of New Lexington and one brother, Glenn (Roberta) Wycinski of Norwich. Father and mother in law, Mike and Nonie Pompey of Corning, sisters in law, Beth Pompey of Glouster and Leeanna (Charlie) Doughty of Corning.
Many nieces and nephews.
Jay was retired from Southern Ohio Coal Company after 30 years of service, After his retirement he worked for the Perry County Engineers Office for 6 years. He served as Monroe Township Trustee for 8 years. He enjoyed working on home and garden projects and especially the restoration of his 1850's log cabin, where he enjoyed spending many weekends and holidays with his beloved family.
At his request no calling hours will be observed.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date.
