Donald E. "Dinger" Anderson

September 1, 1936 ~ August 16, 2011 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Donald Anderson Obituary

Passed away at his residence. He was born in New Lexington and was the son of the late Lester and Dorothy Hutchinson Anderson.

Don retired from Newlon Motors and Nash Dental Group where he often sat on the ledge drinking coffee. Member of the New Lexington Elk's #509 and New Lexington Eagles #2070. He served in the National Guard Artillery 174th Unit.

He is survived by his sons, Steve (Susan) Anderson, Timothy (Heather) Anderson and his daughter Theresa (Gerry) Gable all of New Lexington. His grandchildren, Trent, Nevin, Timmy, and Haleigh of New Lexington, Alyson (Tyler) Hay of Somerset, step grandchildren, Adam, Kayla, & Dakota, three great grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren.
Brother, Richard (Betty) Anderson of New Lexington, sister, Shirley (Ken) Blagg, and his Aunt, Patricia Searfos of New Lexington. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and a special caregiver, Katilyn VanWay.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally K. (Jolly) Anderson whom he married July 3, 1959 snd passed away in 1980.
2 brothers, 2 step-brothers, his Uncle, Charles (Boots) Anderson and his grandparents, Chester and Hazel Anderson who raised him.
Don was a friend to everyone, never turned down a chance to help anyone in need. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. New Lexington Elks service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Burial will be in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington.
