Dominic S. "Butch" Epifano, Jr. 70
Passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015. He was born August 3, 1944 in New Lexington, the son of the late Dominic A. and Caetana Occhipinti Epifano, Sr.
Butch attended St. Rose School, St. Aloysius Academy and was a retired local businessman having operated the Skyline Drive Inn, Lamplighter, Dominic's Wonder Bar and later the Little Phil Inn in Somerset. He spent many years coaching football at St. Rose School and New Lexington Biddy League, was a lifetime member of the New Lexington BPOE Elk's 509, loved cooking and golfing and was a Washington Redskins fan.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Lori (Ferguson) Epifano. His children, Dominic M. "Nick" (Karen) Epifano of Greenfield, Andrea Maria Barrett of Lancaster and "Tone" Epifano of Junction City. Grandchildren, Avery Rhys Barrett, Nicholas Carlo and Luisa Colette Epifano. Sisters & Brother, Carm (Don) Smith of Pickerington, Anthony (Marty) Epifano of Somerset, & Lydia Lyn (Ken) Falk of Columbus. Very special aunts, Rosaline Epifano & Dorothy Marcket. Mother-in-law, Sue Ann Ferguson. Sister and brothers-in-law, Wilma Epifano of Buckeye Lake, Lisa (Tino) Ramos of Columbus, Jim (Amy) Ferguson of Mt. Vernon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Rose (Fiore) Epifano, brother, James R. Epifano and a sister Roseann Kelley.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 14, 2015 with Elk's services at 7:00 PM and
wake services at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Rose Catholic Church, 309 N Main st., New Lexington. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
