Passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born October 2, 1929 in Summerlee, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Groves Dyer.
Dee is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Harold McCord whom she married December 20, 1947.
Her children; Gary (Becky) of New Lexington,
Randy (Stacie) of Glouster,
Kenn (Suzy) of Roseville.
and Alice (John) Vandermark of New Lexington.
Brother in law, Steve Williams.
11 grandchildren;
Josh (Jessica) McCord, David (Angela) McCord,
Steven (Ashley) McCord, Kelly (Adam) Lucas,Randi Dawn McCord, Derek (Melissa) McCord, Tracey (Jason) Wright, Gregg (Katie) Browning, Shawn (Kelli) Vandermark, Travis (Gabi) Vandermark, and Jamie Vandermark. 25 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in deathby her son; Harold R. (Butch) McCord, Jr., great grandson, Mason Vandermark, siblings; Ruth (Sis) Rapp, Ruby Williams, George Dyer, John Dyer, and Charles Dyer.
"Grandma" Dee will be greatly missed not only by her family but her many friends.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 p.m.~ 6:00 p.m. Sunday with Rosary services at 5:30 p.m. with Father James Csaszar.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday with callings hours at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Community Holiness Church, 120 Thorn St, New Lexington with Reverend Kenneth Teter officiating. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
