Passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday morning. She was born July 16, 1937 in New Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Geraldine Gordon Nash.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years George Hughes and a brother Tom Nash. She retired from the JC Penney Hair Salon after many years of service.

Surviving are her children, Suzanne (Chance) Stewart of Logan, Phyllis (Bob) Lanier of Lancaster and Genevieve (Dave Mordach) Ellis of Columbus.  Grandchildren, Drew and Katie Ellis, Chrissy (Stephen) Burkhardt, Joshua Lanier, Jesse (Dallas) Lanier, Bessie (Chris) McClary, Chancie (Alicia) Stewart, Mandy (Mark) Shawhan and 11 great grandchildren. Sisters and brothers, Adelaide (Bob) Gable, Charlotte Reott, Eleanor (John) Schmelzer, Geri Lou Kilbarger, Dick (Judy) Nash and Bill (Cindy) Nash. Sister in law, Phyllis Bowen and Helen Nash.. Many nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the CHUTE-WILEY FUNERAL HOME, 118 S JACKSON ST., NEW LEXINGTON, OH.  Where funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm with Father Chris Yakkel officiating and burial to follow in New Lexington Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband George.
