Known as "Squeak" by his family and friends. Passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010.
Born November 19, 1919 he was the son of the late Edward and Forrest Beach.
Squeak was member of the New Lebanon Lutheran Church and American Legion Post #376 of Junction City. A 1937 graduate of Junction City Jackson High School, member of New Lexington Elk's #509 and Eagles #2070.
He retired from the Junction City Post Office where he was a Rural Mail Carrier for many years.
Squeak served with distiction in the 1st Infantry Division during World War II and fought with them from Africa to Germany among his many citations were a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
Survived by his sons; Rick Beach of Juncton City and Kerry & his wife Betsy Beach of Zanesville.
Grandsons: Robby Beach, Carey Fox, Alex Beach, Casey and Craig Beach.
Granddaughter; Julie Scott,
great granddaughters; Addison & Kristah.
Nephews; Dick Letz, Tom Beach, Paul J.Beach, Neil Palmer Dick, Daryl, & Darrin Folk and Doug Carpeter.
Nieces; Martha Swartz, Sharon Clouse, Kaye Davisson, Sue Young, Dairy Davis, Charlene Boring, brother in law; Lee Folk, sister in law; Joy Taylor and best friend Harry Clark and his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Garnet E. Folk Beach (June 9, 2004), parents, brother; Paul E. Beach, sisters; Evelyn Palmer, Louise Lentz and Dorthy Boring. Nephews; Doug Boring & Chuck Beach.
Calling hours will be 3-6 pm Monday, at the funeral home. With Elks services at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Junction City New Lebanon Lutheran Church on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Justin Van Orman officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery.
