Charles M. "Mike" Snider 80

Passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was born July 26, 1934 in Somerset, Ohio the son of the late Charles Webster and Julia Henderson Snider.

Mike was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, served in the United States Naval Reserve, was employed by Capital Financial Services for 20 years.

Member of New Lexington Elk's 509 and the Knights of Columbus MacGahan Club.

He enjoyed the auto business and selling cars to his many friends in Perry County while working at Newlon Motors from 1979 until 2007.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Judith Paxton Snider whom he married September 4, 1954. His children and spouses; Gail and Ned Underwood of New Lexington, Michael and Maureen Snider of Somerset and David Snider of Salt Lake City, Utah. Grandchildren, Brendan (Caroline) Underwood of Heath, Christina (Brian) Anderson of Export, PA, Kyle Underwood of Akron, Jeffery (Stacey) Snider of Bremen, Lydia (Scott) Graves of Buckeye Lake, Danny (Lauren) Snider of Pittsburgh, Jill Snider of Somerset, Jeremy Snider of Greensburg, PA and Julia Snider of Somerset. Five great grandchildren; McKenna Snider, Blake and Ellie Anderson, Colin Underwood, and Layla Snider. Brother, James L. Snider of Fremont and a sister, Francis Deely of Columbus.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Kelly and brother, Lawrence P. Snider.

Calling hours will be held from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S Jackson St., New Lexington with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and Elk's services to be conducted at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, corner of Main & Water Sts., New Lexington with Father James Csaszar as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Somerset. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose School 309 W. Water Sts., New Lexington, OH 43764.
