CAROL (NEAL) TREADWAY

Carol Treadway 84, of New Lexington, Ohio, passed away June 5, 2023 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio.

Carol was born March 25,1939 in New Lexington, Ohio, to the late Frank and Lena Patterson Neal. She attended New Lexington Schools and enjoyed lunches with class of ’57. Carol was a member of the South Main Street Church of Christ and Heart to Heart. She worked at Cooper Standard Automotive of New Lexington and retired after 23 years. Carol enjoyed her family and friends and was a wonderful mother, homemaker, and great friend to many throughout the community. In her younger years she enjoyed going to Nashville, TN, Holden Beach, NC, and motorcycle races to see her son, Mike, race.

She is survived by one brother, David Neal (Chris) of Somerset; son Mike Treadway (Vicky) of New Lexington; and daughters, Chris Cochran, Shari Fiore (Tim), and Deanna Treadway all of New Lexington. Also surviving are grandchildren Carol Ann, Danielle (Greg), Corey (Tracey), Adam (Scott), Alex, Alisa (Daniel), Chad (Megan), Lacy, Cadence (Kye), and Colin. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, extended family Dana and Mike Brown, special friend Linda McMillan, and her beloved dogs, Jake and Baby.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Lena (Patterson) and Frank Neal; daughter, Tammy Treadway; sister, Wandlea Griffith; and brother, Noah Neal; Aunt Toad and Uncle Brent Neal, beloved mother-in-law, Helen Treadway and stepmother, Lura Neal, and special friend, Susan Patton.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, June 8th at Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson St., New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 8th at Chute Wiley Funeral Home with David Neal officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Perry County Animal Shelter.

Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
