Becky Jo (Ward) Johnson

Becky Jo Ward Johnson, 63 years old went to be with the Lord on August 23,2023 at home after a 5-year battle with ALS.

Becky was born July 2, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Wayne and Janice Ward.

Becky is survived by her son, Sean Louis Ward, mother Janice K. Ward, sister Jala L. Ward, husband of 25 years Steven L. Johnson and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by her loving Father.

Becky graduated from Newark High School in 1988.. Becky earned a associate of applied science degree in electronic be Engineering Technology. Becky was also a paralegal. She worked at the department justice where she met her husband, Steven Johnson.

Becky was an adventurous person and loved to travel. Becky had a home in Tybee Island and loved to spend time there.

Becky and her son Lou went Scuba Diving in Australia after she was diagnosed with ALS.

Becky loved her animals Lady Logan who she rescued from Logan Ohio that has since passed. Her cat Bangs has also passed. She has Poo her cat she rescued from Tybee Island. Mason and Blue were both rescued and live in her home. They miss her so much.

Becky will be Sadly missed by all especially her son and her beloved pets.

  A gravesides service will be held at new Lexington Cemetery at 3:00 P.M. Saturday August 26,2023 with Richard Spicer officiating.
