Anthony Carl "Tony" Marcket 87 passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his home following an extened illness.
Tony was born on December 5, 1925 in New Lexington, the son of the late James V. and Virgina (Greco) Marcket. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Junction City American Legion Post 376, New Lexington Eagles 2070 and New Lexington Elks 509. Tony served in the United States Navy and was a World War II veteran. As a local businessman, he and his wife, Dorothy formerly owned the Clock Bar & Grill And Antonio's Bar.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (Epifano) Marcket; son Jim (Kathy) Marcket of Carmel, IN; granddaughter, Andrea of Flower Mound, TX, Anthony (Sarah) of Tampa, FL, and Aaron (Olivia) of Fisher, IN with a great grandson on the way; three sisters; Nancy Hasson, Eleanor Reichley and Theresa Beck all of New Lexington; and many nieces and nephews.
He lived a full life and was blessed with many loving and devoted family and lifelong friends. He was very pround of his son and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Thursday April 4, 2013 at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson St, New Lexington Elk's services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Rose Catholic Church, corner of Main and Water St's., with Father Dan Dury as Celebrant. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by Junction City American Legion Post 376..
