Passed away Monday at Sharon Brooke Assisted Living in Newark surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Lexington to the late Nicola and Vincenza Buccilli Lollo. Andy gradated form New Lexington High School in 1939.
His first job was in Pittsburgh. He proudly served his country in the Army in WWII in the Pacific Theater of Operations for four years. He enjoyed talking about his wartime experiences. After the war he began his careet as a surveyor and appraiser. Andy also worked for Sunnyhill Coal, Curtis-Wright and several other companies. During the 1960's he work ed in New England for United Appraisal. In the 1970, he had the opportunity to prchase a tavern in Hron,Ohio. He was quite successful. In 1978, urban renewal influenced his decisionto 'close the bar". He was an insurance agent for many years and his last official job was at the Ramada Inn in Sandusky. After his retirement he divided his time betweeen Sandusky and New Lexington, he enjoyed gardening, making wine, cooking and woodworking.
He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was a simple man with a giving heart. He loved doing for others. He lived his live with a strong faith, perseverance and a great lov of his family.
Celebrating his life are his sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Gene Smith of Somerset; and his brother Patrick Lollo; nieces & nephews, Patricia Blakely, Marie Johnson, Michael Lollo, Stephen Smith, Laura Parker, Timothy Lollo, Loretta Kroll, Vince Smith, John Smith, Monica McBride, Bradley Lollo, and numerous gret nieces,nephews,and cousins in Sandusky and Pittsburgh and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents,his brothers, Anthony and Victor preceded him in death,
The family would like to thank the staff at Sharon Brooks Assisted Living and Hospice of Central Ohio.
Family and friends may from 2-8 p.m. Tesday at the Chute -Wiley Funeral Home with the Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m..
Mass of Christian Burial will be had at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose Catholic Church, with Father James Csaszar as Celebrant. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery with full Millitary graveside rites.
