Robert S. Lyons 86
Passed away Friday at his residence. He was born Sept 19, 1923 in Somerset.
He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.
He was a retired United States Army Veteran having served in World War II, Korea, and the Viet Nam Wars. A member of Junction City American Legion Post #376 and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his children; William R. (Debbie) Lyons of New Lexington, Richard E. Lyons of New Lexington, Joseph R. (Alberta) Lyons of New Lexington, Brenda (Tony) Ashbaugh of Junction City, Roger Lyons of Marshall, Texas, Doreen (Dusty) Conrad of Lancaster, Lisa Knight of Thornville. Brothers; Ted (Jody) Lyons and Norman (Laverne) Lyons. Sisters; Elsie Wilder, Nancy Brumley and Mary Delong. 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Evelyn L. (Boley) Lyons. His parents Harry And Vergie Starkey Lyons, a son Robert S. Lyons II(Robbie), a baby brother William Richard Lyons and a daughter-in-law, Anna Lyons.
Calling hours will be held from 2-8 PM Monday at the CHUTE-WILEY FUNERAL HOME with Rosary at 7:45.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Rose Catholic Church, 309 N Main Street with Father Victor Wesolowsky as Celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Junction City with full military graveside rites
conducted by Junction City American Legion Post #376.
