Regina M. (Hatem) Coffman , 87, of Lancaster, OH, longtime former resident of New Lexington, OH, unexpectedly passed away on December 21, 2018, at Reflections Assisted Living , Lancaster. Regina was born on January 27, 1931, and raised in New Lexington, the daughter of the late Guy & Angela (DePinto) Missimi, and wife of the late Ralph E. Coffman, Sr. for nearly 56 years (her beloved “Ralphie” died on August 26, 2006, and they were married on September 2, 1950).
She is survived by her 4 children: Ralph E. (Gene), Jr. and his wife Misti (Crawford); Guy and his wife Marsha (McKinster); Steve and his wife Linda (O’Farrell); Mary and her husband Rob Baker ; 6 grandchildren: Scott (Kim) Coffman, Kylee (Coffman) Thacker (& Jason), Jordan Coffman, Malisa (Baker) Barringer (& Ryan), Trever (Pam) Baker, Brittnie (Kaitlin) Baker; 9 great grandchildren: Nick, Cory, & Luke Coffman; Aaron Thacker; Cohen, Kennedy, & Carter Barringer; Bella & Hunter Baker.
Regina is also survived by her 3 brothers: Peter Hatem, Monsignor Rev. Anthony Missimi, & Dominic (Nancy) Missimi, brother-in-law Frank Westall, sister-in-laws Anna Belle (Coffman) Schirm and Ruth (Coffman) Ford, many nieces & nephews, many extended family members & friends, and her Reflections friends. She is also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Louis & Eileen Hatem, and sister-in-law Carolyn Hatem.
Regina was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and a 1949 graduate of New Lexington St. Aloysius Academy.
Calling hours will be from 10AM-1PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at St. Rose Catholic Church, 309 N. Main St., New Lexington, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1PM, celebrated by Monsignor Missimi. Christian burial will follow in the New Lexington Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. Rose School, 119 W. Water St., New Lexington, OH 43764.
