Passed away Sunday at his residence. He was born
in New Lexington, Son of the late Charles & Rose Santora Triona.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a sharpshooter in the Civil Conservation Corp.
He was a lifetime member of the New Lexington Eagles 2070 & New Lexington Elk's 509 and the American Legion.
He is survived by his son Joseph M. Triona "Joey",
his grandchildren; Molly Jo Triona, Andrea Lynn Triona and Troy (Deidra) Smock all of New Lexington. Two grandchildren; Colton and Skylar Smock, a brother, James Triona of New Lexington and his canine companions, Mandy & Candy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Isabell "Dolly" Triona, brothers; August, Charles, Frank and Phil and three sisters; Rose Mira, Lucy Weisert, and Teresa Incorvia.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 pm Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home with Eagles services at 7:00 pm and Elks at 7:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Grant officiating. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by Junction City American Legion Post 376.
